The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) is responsible for leading the investment team in establishing and implementing investment strategies for a fund focused on the SME sector. The CIO will perform a wide variety of functions including designing the investment process, asset management, assessing business risks, asset allocation levels aimed at creating a balanced portfolio of investments, conducting traditional investment research as well as technical analysis research to help arrive at the right investment decisions and recommending investment decision for credit due diligence & the investment committee.
Minimum qualifications:
- Graduate degree in finance, or related discipline
- 15+ years of diversified investment experience including leading teams of investment professionals (with at least 3 years in the GCC region)
- Complete fluency in Arabic & English
The Business Development Manager works with the Head of Business Development with responsibility for generating new revenue streams for the company. The BD Manager will support existing BD activities, convert the pipeline to secured business, developing new business, all with annual targets agreed upon with the Head of Business Development.
Minimum qualifications:
- MBA (or equivalent degree)
- 5 years work experience in the financial services sector (ideally investment banking or corporate banking) with 3 years in the Middle East
- Complete fluency in English and Arabic
- Position requires ability to travel frequently
The Head of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day management of mortgage platform operations and processes across all functions across multiple branches and field locations of a new Shari’ah-compliant home financing company in Saudi Arabia. The Head of Operations will play a critical role in implementing and refining the Company’s operational platform while actively managing key external relationships critical to the operations of the Company.
Minimum qualifications:
- Post-graduate degree in business administration, finance or equivalent (e.g. MBA, CA, etc)
- 10 years of experience in residential mortgage banking in sales and operations roles, extensive knowledge of bank data processing and electronic banking/technology, and knowledge of banking regulations, Islamic finance and compliance laws
- Extensive background in financial institution auditing, operations, and related policies and procedures
- Complete fluency in Arabic and English
The Head of Risk Management is responsible for managing and developing a total risk management function across CGI’s business lines. In particular the Head of Risk is responsible for developing and overseeing SME, mortgage and consumer credit risk criteria across various CGI business lines, and in addition will ensure that critical risks affecting the organization’s overall business strategy are appropriately identified, managed and controlled.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MBA (or equivalent degree)
- 10 years of working experience of all aspects of risk including operational, business, strategic, market and credit risks
- Superior Knowledge of Basel II Accord, with particular emphasis on credit-related issues, credit modeling methodologies and related capital adequacy requirements
- Arabic speaking is a plus
The Associate will be heavily involved in activities including: strategic evaluation, financial analysis, formulation of business plans, research and operational implementation. The candidate will work across business functions and with a multi-disciplinary team structure
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a top tier institution; Master’s degree a plus
- 3 to 5 years total work experience, with minimum 3 years in corporate development, investment banking or management consulting - preference for experience in multi-national corporations
- Arabic speaking is a plus
The Analyst will be heavily involved in activities including: strategic evaluation, financial analysis, formulation of business plans, research and operational implementation. The candidate will work across business functions and with a multi-disciplinary team structure.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant financial coursework from a top tier institution
- 1 to 3 years total work experience, prior experience as an investment banking analyst or other relevant experience is a plus, but not a requirement
- Arabic speaking is a plus
